| Today with the CMMI,
another approach could be to start with the CMMI practices and paring
down from there.
While this approach is attractive, we feel that there are benefits from using the Software Engineering and System Engineering CMMs and adding practices tailored to specific programs. Viewing INCOSE and the Project Management Institute as the long term owners of the domain knowledge in those areas seems reasonable. |
